The TRC committee was established in 2006 with an overall mandate to facilitate COG translational research.

Overall objective of the TRC

To stimulate the discovery of new therapeutic targets and to expedite the translation of laboratory science findings into improved therapies for fighting childhood cancer.

Aims of the TRC
  • To promote and to undertake the direct performance of cross-disease and cross-discipline translational research projects that utilize COG specimens.
  • To expand the pediatric cancer cell line and xenograft repository via the recently activated COG cross-disease study, ABTR04B1.
  • To provide an educational mandate to TRC members on current and proposed TRC projects, and other relevant topics in translational research, through regular symposia and discussions at TRC sessions at COG meetings.
